Meet your instructor: Rachael
Hello, my name is Rachael Gillies and I am the instructor for Park Yoga Yeovil. I started running the Yeovil sessions in 2019 and I am so pleased to be able to do them again this year.
I am a fully qualified yoga, Pilates and meditation instructor and I run the local yoga group, Lunasana Yoga. I have been practising myself for 21 years now and I am extremely passionate about bringing the incredible benefits of yoga to as many as I can. I have always strived to make yoga as accessible and affordable to all and Park Yoga is an amazing initiative that helps to bring yoga to some that may not have otherwise tried a class.
I predominantly teach Hatha yoga with a strong focus on balancing strength, flexibility and mobility throughout the body whilst using pranayama and relaxation techniques to bring about a sense of peace, calm and confidence. For my more experienced students, I love to get creative with Vinyasa flows and I also offer deeply relaxing yin style sessions to promote deep relaxation. No matter what style of yoga is being practiced, the improvement in physical and mental wellbeing is evident. I know how much yoga has helped me and I see this in every member of my own group.
There is something incredibly special about practising yoga together as a large group, in the open air. Yeovil Country Park is the most beautiful spot. If your body, mind and soul need a little pick me up, Park Yoga will certainly bring that to you.
