Our charity is governed by a volunteer Board of Trustees who provide the strategic direction and governance for our charity.
We are currently recruiting for new Trustees to join our team. You will have a keen interest in improving the lives of communities through health and wellbeing, yoga or physical activity initiatives; as well as having a strong fit to our values.
We are specifically looking for Trustees with extensive expertise in:
- IT – our systems require a digital transformation over our next strategic period to ensure we keep pace with our growing charity’s needs. You will use your knowledge and experience to guide us through the procurement process, offering sound insight, as well as providing guidance and support of our IT processes.
- Sponsorship –you will have solid experience within this area to guide and advise us on this key income generation channel.
Please note: following a skills audit of our Trustee Board we have identified these skills areas as gaps in our Board’s knowledge. As such, we are not recruiting for Trustees with skills and experience in any other areas and unfortunately will not be able to consider your application.
Our next strategic period will see us expand into Scotland, Wales, Ireland and other major English cities so we would welcome applicants from these geographical areas.
Commitment and expectations
Time commitment is estimated as c.1 day per month. This includes:
- Attending four board meetings a year, 2 – 3 of which are online, the others are typically held in the south of England (although this may change as we grow)
- Enjoying a minimum of 2 Park Yoga sessions a season, attending an annual Yoga Instructor training session and occasional fundraising or networking events
- Being available for ad-hoc advice and support to the Director.
