βοΈ Park Yoga Swindon β This Sunday! βοΈ Queens Park | 9.30amβ10.30am
The sun is ON, the trees are shady (in the best way), and we are definitely feeling the heat this week! π
Yoga outdoors in the sunshine is magicalβbut when the temperatures soar, it becomes even more important to take it steady. Weβll be flowing gently this Sunday, tuning into our breath, our bodiesβ¦ and maybe the occasional cool breeze through the leaves. πΏ
π§ββοΈ Top tip from the yoga sutras (with a Park Yoga twist): βSthira sukham asanamβ β our yoga poses should feel steady and comfortableβ¦ and ideally, not involve melting like a candle. π₯π
So bring your water, maybe a hat, and feel free to find a shady spot under the treesβnatureβs original air conditioning unit. π³
As always, Park Yoga is completely free, inclusive and accessible β whether youβre a seasoned yogi, a total beginner, or someone who just wants to lie on the grass and breathe for an hour. Everyone is welcome. π
Letβs move, breathe, smile, and soak up the healing power of nature together. See you there!
A light drizzle didnβt deter 62 of you beautiful souls this morning β and if you ask me, that little shower of rain actually *added* to the experience! π¦ (Though I may be on my own with that opinion! π)
Practicing in the park surrounded by fluttering butterflies, honking geese, birdsong in the air, and the soothing sound of the breeze whispering through the trees... itβs pure medicine for the soul. In yogic philosophy, nature isnβt separate from us β it *is* us. When we move and breathe beneath the sky, connected to the earth, weβre reminded of our place in the great dance of life. ππ§ββοΈποΈ
I truly hope todayβs practice gave you exactly what you needed β inspiration, clarity, some space to breathe, and perhaps a little moment of coming hOMe to yourself. π
Photos from this morningβs session are below πΈ As always, donations are welcome at parkyoga.com (parkyoga.com) to help keep these mornings going strong π±
With love, Sandie πΏ See you again next week! π ... See MoreSee Less
Join us this Sunday for a beautiful morning of Inclusive Yoga in the heart of nature π
π§ββοΈ Queens Park, Swindon π€ 9:30β10:30am β¨ No need to book β just show up!
Bring:
A mat or towel
Some water
Yourself β just as you are
The weather doesnβt need to be perfect β and neither do you. We practise with compassion, curiosity, and a spirit of acceptance. This is yoga that welcomes every body, every age, every experience level. π Wholeness over wellness. Presence over perfection.
This weekβs stance: Tadasana (Mountain Pose) β a grounding posture that invites stability, strength, and quiet confidence. A reminder that you are enough, exactly as you are, standing tall in your truth.
It was such a joy to share space with you all this morning β even in the muggy heat and under cloudy skies, there was a beautiful energy in the park. Apologies for the mic hiccups β but you stayed present, and that in itself is yoga.
We moved through *asana* (the physical shapes), breathed together with *pranayama*, and explored *pratyahara* β the quiet art of turning our attention inward. In a world full of noise, distractions, and to-do lists, yoga invites us back to ourselves. π§ββοΈβ¨
Bhramari (humming bee breath) offered us a moment of calm β a soft internal buzz that mirrors the harmony of nature. Bees donβt rush. They just *are*. That hum, that stillness β itβs always available to us, when we pause and listen within. ππ
Yoga is a path, not a performance. It's not about touching your toes β it's about what you learn on the way down. Through practice, we become more embodied, more aware, more ourselves. The breath becomes a guide, and the mat becomes a place of return. To return hOMe π
A reminder that Park Yoga is completely free, but if youβd like to support the wider project, donations are welcome at parkyoga.co(parkyoga.co) π
Weβll be back **next Sunday, same time β 9.30β10.30am in Queenβs Park, Swindon**. Bring a mat, some water, and that wonderful heart of yours.
Have a peaceful week, and I hope to see you again soon. Photos from today below πΈ
