Meet your instructor: Emily

Emily has been teaching yoga in Salisbury since 2016, mainly based at the Edwardian Lodge Studio on Castle Road, specialising in Hatha Flow, Aerial Yoga, Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra.

In hatha flow classes, Emily begins with focused breath awareness, turning your attention inward and listening internally to how our bodies are feeling in this moment. The class then builds, through warm up sequences towards the Sun Salutations & standing & balancing sequences, before beginning to slow and cool down taking you towards meditation and the final relaxation, Savasana. Emily enjoys teaching in a relaxed manner, making room for smiles, a little humour and a warm sense of community.

Outside of yoga, Emily lives locally with her husband, three children, two cats and one dog. Born in Salisbury, Emily headed off to London for university at 18 and then spent the first few years of her working life in the advertising industry, before re-locating back to Salisbury in 2006 and running a sign company with her husband, whilst raising a young family.

In November 2017, Emily finally stepped away from the day-to-day running of the family business, to focus fully on her yoga teaching journey.

Emily is really looking forward to sharing Park Yoga Salisbury this summer and hopes to be able to encourage people from all walks of life to come along and treat themselves to a Sunday morning dose of yoga.
