Hayle: Hayle Recreation Ground

Where?

Join our FREE Park Yoga sessions on Hayle Recreation Ground.

Please look out for the large Park Yoga flag.

When?

9.30am – 10.30am every Sunday morning from 3rd May to 13th September.

Getting here:

Car: Approach via the A30 or local roads into Hayle (Phillack area). From the main road through Phillack, take the turning opposite the Texaco garage (Beatrice Terrace / Copper Terrace junction) and proceed along Brookway. The Recreation Ground is located directly off Brookway. Limited on-site parking is available directly beside the ground and near the playground (not extensive, so it may fill quickly during peak times or events). Additional public parking options exist nearby in Hayle town, including council car parks at Foundry Square (TR27 4HQ) and Commercial Road (TR27 4DE). Sat-nav postcode: TR27 5AL.

Bus: Several local bus routes serve Hayle, with stops within a short walking distance of the Recreation Ground. Relevant nearby stops include Phillack Turn, Library and Day Centre, and Fore Street (approximately 3–7 minutes’ walk). Services include routes such as the T1/T2 (Tinners Way), 11, 14, 15, and 18, connecting from St Ives, Penzance, Truro, and other Cornish locations. Check current timetables via Transport for Cornwall.

Train: The nearest station is Hayle Railway Station (served by Great Western Railway and CrossCountry services). From the station, the Recreation Ground is a pleasant walk of approximately 15–25 minutes (around 1 mile), heading towards the Phillack/Brookway area. Local buses from the station vicinity or town centre can also be used for the short final leg.

Those first moments after class ✨
Today was about Ahimsa, usually translated as non-violence, but also about being kind to ourselves and not listening to that inner critic or those worries… thank you all for coming and have a wonderful day everyone 💚 Poem in comments x

Park Yoga Hayle

It's been so lovely to see the response to Carole's story this week. 💚

One of the things we love most about Park Yoga is that there isn't a "typical" person who comes. Every week you'll find people of all ages, all abilities, and all levels of experience practising together.

Some have never done yoga before. Some have been practising for years. Some join in with every pose, while others take plenty of rests or simply enjoy moving gently and being outdoors.

Yoga isn't about being flexible or getting everything "right". It's about meeting yourself where you are, on that particular day.

So if you've been thinking about coming along but wondering if you'll be good enough, fit enough, or experienced enough, this is your reminder: you are welcome.

Bring a mat (or a towel), wear something comfortable, and come exactly as you are. We'll take care of the rest. 🌿
