“heartfelt * connecting* inspiring.” – This is from the feedbacks of my regular students about my weekly sessions. I am Martina and teach Yoga since completing training courses in Austria and UK since 2011. I am a member of Yoga Alliance UK for Yoga and Children’s Yoga.
I fell in love with Yoga almost 20 years ago and am passionate practitioner ever since and believe Yoga has something for everyone. In my teaching I like to nurture a sense of wellbeing and calm and to connect Yoga to day-to-day life experiences. When I began with Yoga a wonderful journey inwards began and Yoga revealed its various benefits to me supporting me in times of change, challenge and growth.
I also hold a degree in Social Pedagogy specialist in humanistic counselling, health promotion, education and community work. I have successfully integrated Yoga and Mindfulness practice in my work with children, young people and their carers for many years to strengthen resilience and a positive sense of self in overcoming traumatic life experiences.
I offer classes for adults, children, teens, Yoga for precarious times (breast cancer recovery) and Wellbeing courses for carers. I teach weekly classes in Melksham and in Chippenham, and since the beginning of the Corona virus pandemic also online.
Looking forward to seeing you all for Park Yoga tomorrow morning! 🌿💚
After the incredible heat this week, the forecast is promising us a cooler morning for our Sunday get-together — I think we might all appreciate that! 😊
Join us at 9.30–10.30am in Hillworth Park for an hour of movement, breathing, fresh air and lovely company.
And a quick apology for the rather random post about “butter” that appeared on our page earlier! 🧈😄 It certainly wasn't from us and seems to have been some kind of spam or scam post. Hopefully it's now sorted.
Have a lovely Saturday and I'll see you in the park tomorrow morning! 🌿☀️
I think this must have been the hottest day I've experienced since living in the UK — 38°C! And even as someone who loves sunshine, that is definitely hot enough to make you slow down. 😅
The heat is a good reminder that our bodies have their own wisdom. We can't always keep going at the same pace, and sometimes the healthiest choice is to pause, seek some shade, drink water and simply do a little less.
Yoga teaches us something similar. The practice isn't about pushing ourselves to the limit. It's about listening, adapting and finding the balance between effort and ease.
Sometimes yoga is movement. Sometimes it's stillness. Sometimes the most mindful thing we can do is simply breathe and be.
With a few more weeks of our Park Yoga season left, I'm looking forward to making the most of our beautiful outdoor Sundays — whatever the weather briHillworth Parkou in the park! Hillworth Park 9.30 am - 10.30 am ... See MoreSee Less
A huge thank you to the 127 people who joined Amelia this morning — an August high! What a fantastic turnout, and such a lovely reminder of how our Park Yoga community continues to grow. 💚
A very special thank you to Amelia for covering the last two Sundays while I've been away. I hope you've enjoyed her sessions and the little taste of her own style of sharing yoga.
I've been thinking of you all this morning and hope you left feeling relaxed, refreshed and ready for the week ahead.
Wishing you all a wonderful start to the new week, and I can't wait to see you again next Sunday! 🌿💚
Can you believe we're already in the first week of August? ☀️🌿
Hillworth Park has been full of life this week. Children's sports activities, families enjoying the sunshine, friends meeting for picnics, people walking their dogs, and so many finding a little time to simply be outdoors.
I love seeing our beautiful park being enjoyed in so many different ways. It reminds us what a special community space it is.
Every Sunday morning, Park Yoga becomes part of that story too. For one hour, people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities come together to move, breathe, laugh and simply enjoy being outdoors. There's no pressure, no expectations and no experience needed—just an open invitation to come as you are.
This Sunday, the wonderful Amelia will once again be leading your Park Yoga session while I enjoy the last few days of my holiday with my family. We've been making the most of the outdoors too—sunshine, water, fresh air and the joy of having no schedule for a little while. I'm so grateful that our Devizes community is in such caring and experienced hands, and I know you'll have a wonderful morning together.
Whether you're joining on your own, bringing a friend, or making it a family outing, you'll always find a warm welcome.
Park Yoga is free and open to everyone. We'd loveHillworth Parkis Sunday from 9.30–10.30am in Hillworth Park .
