“heartfelt * connecting* inspiring.” – This is from the feedbacks of my regular students about my weekly sessions. I am Martina and teach Yoga since completing training courses in Austria and UK since 2011. I am a member of Yoga Alliance UK for Yoga and Children’s Yoga.
I fell in love with Yoga almost 20 years ago and am passionate practitioner ever since and believe Yoga has something for everyone. In my teaching I like to nurture a sense of wellbeing and calm and to connect Yoga to day-to-day life experiences. When I began with Yoga a wonderful journey inwards began and Yoga revealed its various benefits to me supporting me in times of change, challenge and growth.
I also hold a degree in Social Pedagogy specialist in humanistic counselling, health promotion, education and community work. I have successfully integrated Yoga and Mindfulness practice in my work with children, young people and their carers for many years to strengthen resilience and a positive sense of self in overcoming traumatic life experiences.
I offer classes for adults, children, teens, Yoga for precarious times (breast cancer recovery) and Wellbeing courses for carers. I teach weekly classes in Melksham and in Chippenham, and since the beginning of the Corona virus pandemic also online.

It’s hard to believe we’re already in October! I hope you’ve had a chance to complete our Park Yoga survey and perhaps make any final online donation as our season came to a close.
Many of you have asked how to stay connected with us beyond Park Yoga, and it’s truly uplifting to witness such warmth and enthusiasm in our community.
If you’d like to continue your yoga journey, RACHEL runs classes at Sow & Roots in Devizes, at Devizes Wharf, and in Poulshot. You can contact Rachel at lacertayoga@gmail.com.
AMELIA also teaches at Sow & Roots in Devizes and at the New Body Barn, a dedicated studio just outside Devizes in Lydway. For timings and more details, please visit her website www.ameliagraceyoga.com.
As for me, I’ll be hosting our monthly wintering session on Sunday mornings at the New Body Barn again—please refer to the post picture for dates. Please be aware that the date for the first session had to be changed to this Sunday, the 5th of October 2025. If you interest to join, send me an e-mail info@martinaelter.com.
Wishing you a wonderful autumn and winter. If our paths don’t cross before then, I hope we’ll reunite for another season of Devizes Park Yoga next May—fingers crossed!
My admiration to all who braved the chilly autumnal weather this morning and joined me for the final session of our Park Yoga season 2025. 🙏
And what a season it has been! We were truly blessed with remarkably stable, warm weather until these last sessions. Park Yoga Devizes has grown a great deal this year, thanks to each one of you joining and sharing the experience with others. More than 70 people discovered Park Yoga for the very first time this season – a wonderful testament to our ever-growing community.
It was genuinely heartwarming to hear your kind words about what Park Yoga has meant to you and how it has become a cherished part of your weekend routine—a way to start the morning, to reconnect, and to feel reenergised for the week ahead. I’m grateful as well to learn that the themes and inspiration we explored felt timely and relevant for many of you. Please share your feedback in our survey. surveymonkey.com/r/parkyoga2025
As we close this chapter, I encourage you to keep carrying the gentle rhythm of our practice with you—whether it’s a mindful breath, a moment of gratitude, or a simple stretch to start your day. Yoga is so much more than the poses we do in the park; it’s the spirit we bring into our lives, the connections we nurture, and the space we create for wellbeing and kindness, both for ourselves and for others.
A heartfelt thank you to each and every one of you, whether you made it for just one session or attended the whole season. 🙏🧘♀️🧘🧘♂️👫🐕 Your presence and energy are what make Park Yoga truly special. I enjoyed also all the lovely "with you in spirit" pics when some of you were on holidays. Until next year, may you continue to move, breathe, and find peace wherever life takes you.
Thank you ever so much for your generous donations to our wonderful charity, Park Yoga. Your heartfelt support means the world to us, and, with your help, we hope to keep offering free yoga to even more people within our community. Together, we are making a real difference—helping others to discover the joy, wellbeing, and connection that Park Yoga brings. Your kindness ensures this spirit can continue to grow and flourish for seasons to come.
Last but not least, thank you as well for the heartfelt cards, flowers and thoughtful gifts some of you shared with me—they genuinely touched me, and it felt as though Christmas had arrived early. 😊Your kindness and generosity are truly appreciated, and I feel so fortunate to be part of such a warm and caring community.
If you’d like to reach out during our break, please feel free to do so. You’ll find contact details for Rachel, Amelia, and myself in a previous post, and they’ll also be pinned at the top of this page for your convenience.
Wishing you a wonderful Sunday and the cosiest of autumns until our paths cross again.
Take care and keep that Park Yoga spirit with you wherever you go.
